WHIRLPOOL LX H30-R1 Large Heater from Mr Tubby Ltd
This heater (larger than the more common H30-R1) is used in many spas, swim spas and swimming pools for water heating and can be used as a direct replecement or for similar replacement for other spa companies.
This heater can be installed as a replacement for the HW02 heaters installed in Chinese tubs (those with the grey plastic box on top of the heater tube. PLEASE NOTE - the HW02 is 358mm long and this H30-R1 is 330mm long. Therefore if your heater has the ribbed flexible hose going to it you can usually make up this difference. If rigid plastic pipework then you will need to include a coupler in the pipe and fit one of the unions that are included with the new heater).
It has been used alot by JNJ chinese hot tub manufacturer on their hot tubs and swim spas, then sold on by many companies including Spaserve trade price group. The stainless steel tube is 33cm long and the outside diameter of the hand couplings are 90mm. These two dimensions confirm whether your heater is the large version, or the standard more common H30-R1. It has 2 x cables, one for power, the other for the flow switch connection to the controller. Some have one cable, so if your tub has a separate flow switch cable just link this 2 core cable out to make the heater function as before.
This is the large version of the H30-R1 and connects into 63mm outside diameter pipework (the small version connects into 48.5mm outside diamter pipework). Call if you need advice.
